ISLE Introductory Webinar Launches International Dialogue on Innovative and Sustainable Learning Environments

On 21 October 2025, the ISLE project successfully hosted its Introductory Webinar, titled “Innovative and Sustainable Learning Environments in Primary Education.” Organised under Work Package 7 and moderated by PARAGON-eduTech, the online event marked the project’s first public presentation and an important milestone in its dissemination and stakeholder engagement strategy.

The webinar introduced ISLE’s mission to redesign primary education through innovative and sustainable learning environments that promote quality, equity, and inclusion. Professor Leonidas Kyriakides and Dr. Victoria Michaelidou (University of Cyprus) presented the project’s vision, structure, and strategic alignment with European education priorities. Participants were also introduced to the multidisciplinary ISLE consortium and to the newly announced ISLE International Network, designed to foster long-term collaboration among ITE/CPD providers, schools, policymakers, researchers, and civil society actors.

The event attracted 306 registrants from 19 countries, demonstrating strong international visibility. The highest participation came from consortium countries—Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Finland, Latvia, and Spain—while additional interest from non-EU countries highlighted ISLE’s growing global relevance. Attendees represented a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including primary school educators, university academics, policy representatives, NGOs, and independent experts.

Feedback from nearly 90 respondents confirmed very high levels of satisfaction. Participants particularly valued the relevance of the content, the clarity of presentations, and the smooth technical organisation. Overall, the webinar successfully established ISLE’s presence within the educational community, strengthened stakeholder engagement, and laid a solid foundation for the development of a vibrant international learning network.
